My son has two 4-week old pekin ducklings, one of which is becoming bowlegged and pigeon towed. Her diet is rich in niacin and b complex vitamins, so we're thinking it's unrelated to having any deficiencies in those.
For those of you who have ducks, what possible things might cause a duckling to have leg and feet issues? Could it be something genetic?

Ducks are quite different to chickens, so my knowledge is limited.
I would think a genetic leg issue would show before now, they generally happen at hatch.
@fashionfobie should be able to help.
To get a head start can you maybe share what you're feeding including supplements?

They think she may have pulled something and sent her home on metacam. They also said that a niacin deficiency is quite rare and suspect her bowleggedness and pigeon toes could be something genetic. The farm where we got her is going to be reaching out to the vets as they want to assess. They will be involving their own poultry vet just to make sure.
