please help!!
i’m not home at the moment, but my mother called me in tears and said that our blue fronted amazon’s condition suddenly worsened and his wings are drooping a lot (it’s worse than the photo now), he’s keeping his eyes closed, and is clearly feeling unwell. the only thing out of his everyday routine that they did today was take him outside to our backyard for a few minutes for some sunlight but they didn’t put him down anywhere or leave him unsupervised where he could’ve eaten anything that isn’t supposed to.

they’ve tried calling all the avian vets in the city (there’s already not many to begin with) but they’re all either out of the country or closed for the next two days (it’s a public holiday weekend right now).

we’re desperately trying to find anyone that will see him for an emergency appointment right now, but in the meantime, what could possibly be the cause? are there any common conditions with these symptoms? the only thing i can possibly think of that’s realistic is heavy metal poisoning but IMG_6537.jpeg we are so careful about making sure everything is stainless steel and we also haven’t given him any new toys or anything he could’ve chewed on recently either.
please help!!

So sorry to hear this, what about an emergency vet? They may not specialize in parrot but could possibly help in someway until your able to get him to an actual avian vet.
