Oh man, what a shame. I'm sure he's still so beautiful...still uniquely rich and vibrant with the body colors but yeah, they sometimes lose their head colors.

Thus far, at about 1 year old, he's still really bright. He did molt once and he got darker/ scared me but as more came in, the bright colors remained.
More splashy, colors are mixed together, but thankfully still a ton of red, orange, and yellow versus the typical solid darker green with tiny red or yellow or that brownish color by the names.

The 2 below are about 3 and 8 (not positive on exact hatchdays) so I think he'll stay pretty colorful.

At that age, the color will remain.
Adult phenotype has thankfully been predominantly established.
