Double door safety exiting bird room?

I am taking on a decent sized project of making a room, a dedicated bird room. I decided against an actual aviary cage in the room as that would be a pain to deep clean and wouldnt be able to convert to a guest bedroom last minute. The hard part I have run into is making a secondary safety door. There is a small hallway leading away from the bedroom and the perfect place to set up a 2nd door so the birds dont escape into the house. This would also ensure our cats not darting directly into the bird room. Suggestions? I found a pet gate, but not tall enough to reach the ceiling.

What about a combination of a pet gate with a curtain hanging from the ceiling?

You could use pvc pipe to create a panel using plastic heavy netting (like chicken fencing but made of plastic. Then you could make it the exact dimensions you need. It will be light weight and you can even make a door on the lower part for you to enter and exit.

I’ve got a tension rod popped up and using a sheer curtain have covered the doorway to the bird room - that way I can also have the door open to allow for better airflow because the room can get pretty stuffy for me while I’m out here.
