Couple years ago a large male deer tried to run me off when I was in the woods behind the house.

I have been on the business end of a deer attacking - not a place you want to be, I can understand the woman not getting in the middle

There is a pretty long description for the video. The lady who taped this defends her actions, I'm guessing she had a lot of people say nasty things to her.

she does say this though

"The dog eventually left limping—since posting here we have been able to contact the lady. THE DOG IS OKAY, but traumatized."

The deer was doing what any mother would do it was protecting its baby from a perceived threat. I hope the dog was ok and I was surprised at how gutsy that cat was

a rock would not have phased it - when they are like that, they are so focused, it would not have even known there was a rock around

The momma deer wasn't too bothered by the cat but I'm thinking maybe the momma deer thought the dog must be like a wolf or coyote out to eat her baby. I doubt deer know the difference between domesticated and wild dog breeds.
