At first KerBear loved toys that hung from the top of her cage. They had to be big enough for her to hang from while she was munching them.
Then she went through a stage where she had to have foot toys. I made and bought all different kinds of foot toys.
Then she had to have light up toys that played music or sang song.
Now she ignores foot toys, and hanging toys and will only chew. It has to be baskets, and she will chew and munch them to bits all day long. She doesn't touch anything else. If her basket is all munched (we buy big ones so it takes a day or two) she will get very loud because she is bored.
Her cage is very large so it is filled with toys. Should we remove all the toys she no longer plays with and just fill it with the toys she likes right now?
Should I just introduce one of each alternative toy?
Does anyone else have a parrot that only plays with one type of toy at a time and ignores everything else?
She threw a birdie tantrum last night and I had to run out special to find something for her to chew up because we ran out. Uhm, no, she isn't spoiled..
