I don't know how Leia feels about them - broadly indifferent I would say, but she will step up on my foot if she's on the floor and I put my foot near her.

The funniest one was when she flapped so vigorously when she was showering that she flapped herself off her perch, landed at the bottom of the bath, then decided to stomp over to me, sit on my foot and gaze up at me with an outraged "HUMAN. HALP." expression.

My parrotlet has mixed reactions about them. If she flies to the floor and sees them, she starts to sprint at them to attack them, but when she gets close she sees just how terrifying they really are, and she runs away. She would be happier if feet just didn't exist. :roflmao:

I voted for the only bird in my flock who cared either way - Damien was in love with my feet, and willing to uh get overly friendly wih em if I didn't pay attention. He was always struttin' around bow-cooing at them or preening my toes. Oh it tickled. Miss that. <3

My birds like my feet only because they make a good perch when I’m laying down on the couch.

One of them likes to hide under furniture then dash out to attack passing feet. He was one of a few that made a hobby out of it at WPR.
OMG, my mother had a little terrier who used to do this. It's been 20 years and I still hesitate to walk up, with bare feet, to any piece of furniture that's raised more than a couple of inches off the ground.

And, yes, that does make getting into bed interesting. I have to remind myself "Griffin's dead."

But then I think, "yeah, but if there's any dog that would come back as the evil dead, it would be him." And then I can't sleep at all.

It's a mixed bag for me...
  • Marvin will sometimes attack my toes if she's on the floor (fortunately she's rarely on the floor).
  • Jericho will dart past my feet as he attempts to enter my pant leg (when he's hormonal).
  • Oscar will gently tap my feet when he's on the floor and wants to be picked up (thankfully).
In summary, I've observed their hostility toward my feet has an inverse relationship to size...

Toes are the natural enemy of birds and must be attacked at every chance. That what Cheddar told me. ;)
