This is our mourning dove Pichichi that we rescued back on June 12th from getting eaten by a cat in my Mom's neighborhood. We aren't sure if it is a girl or boy yet. My Dad thinks it is a girl because it is small in size, but it has been going through a molt and is getting these purplish, pinkish, bluish feathers on the side of the neck pictured here. It also has a pinkish purple iridecence on on it chest area as well. Does this look like a girl or boy to you?
