I just got a catalog from King Arthur Flour that is just fascinating me!
Originally it was with their paper 'bake-and-give' pans but as I read I found all kinds of things for the birds that I will probably buy and try at least a few of.
Not to mention their recipes for a sticky bun, some pancakes, AND get this one for a cracker with seeds - I picture it with pepitos, sesame, flax, a few sunflower. I think my birds would love to share these with me.
Crunchy Crackers : King Arthur Flour

I am so easily amused.
Do you folks read all your catalogs for the birds too?

Anyway here are some neat things:
1. I buy spelt, amaranth and other flours at a local store (for birdie bread) but here is a source if you can't get locally
ancient grains flour. Ancient Grains Flour Blend - 2 lb.
also Harvest Grains Blend - 2 lb.

2. Now this is probably high in salt so would have to be a limited treat, but picture a fussy eater finding this sprinkled on his cooked butternut squash! HA! I've often thought about raiding the mac and cheese boxes for it, so I'm putting this into my order for sure.
Vermont Cheese Powder - 8 oz.

3.nontoxic control of fruit flies and seed moths
Fruit Fly Trap
Moth Traps

4. Will these really keep fruit fresh longer? Have any of you tried these?
Stay Fresh Vacuum Canister - Medium

5. Oh yeah - and they have dog biscuit mix and a cookie cutter
Wonder if we can convince them to carry a birdie bread mix?

that's an interesting site - lots of neat things there - thanks!!

Catalog is a 4 letter word around here - I know there has to be at least one a day in the mail - mainly animal/bird oriented - good thing that it's usually me bringing in the mail :hehe:

yes between the bird and the GARDENING catalogs...!!!
I separate them out for recycling and really makes me think when I haul several heavy bags to the recycling center.
I opt out of what I can, but you get on the lists.
