Leia does heart wings but raises her wings slightly higher than in the photos. She seems to use it to say "hello" and "I'm pleased to see you" to people she likes.

There is also the Pionus strut which looks like heart wings but is a sign the Pi is cranky!

Gracie does this a lot and I get excited chirps with chattering and she's all fluffed and dancing for me when she does this. It's usually when I let her out in the morning when I get home from work or when I get up in the evening.

My CAG does heart wings, though not half as often as my flirty little 'tiel. In Rafi language it seems to be along the lines of, "hey, come pick me up" or "I"m happy to see you".

Male tiels do it specifically as a courtship display. Female tiels typically don't do it. I think in other parrots, it often means aggression or defensiveness so it's a very different signal.

I've never seen it in 40 plus years of living with all kinds of birds. Interesting conversation.

My lovebird Sydney does it while courting. I´m 95% sure he is male.

Must be a sun thing, Tikki is the same with a flutter thrown in for good measure.
