Eliy didn't like (she hated them) two foot toys that I made but all others things has been a great success. :)
And the reason I make them is because they enjoy them, and many things to parrots you can't find in Sweden. (and yes I love DIY :D )
When I'm in a store I always looking for potential objects that can be part of a toy.

I also like to dry food to them, and often I make a hole in them so I can attach it on a skewer.
So when I'm going away I can combine dried fruit and veggies with smaller toys pieces. (like wood, egg carton and paper pieces.)
And when I place that skewer in their cages they fly in themselves. :)
And they also gets fresh fruit and veggies on a skewer too. But if I'm going away more then 4 hrs I prefer to give them dried fruit.

Here is walnuts with holes, dried apple and pumpkin slices.

So now I have found a new place in the forest for fresh branches. (they felt the trees last week)
So both cages got new branches so far, and today Akelas cage was getting new branches.

Yes. :) They are like beavers both. :D
I have to change them often. The ones that was replaced where having no smaller branches at all.
I will have extra work, but they will never need to have a beak trim. :)

Pionus are parrots that really likes to chew on wood. I'm sure of that they are related to beavers! :D

It is! :) Today I did go back for more, but this time not only for them.
I decided to make a footstool to have in the bathroom. I was thinking half of the trees with bark, and half without (pinewood) so it will look DIY and natural.

Two new bigger wooden toys. With their names on it.

The captions on these photos is cracking me up! Mainly because we all know exactly what our birds are thinking!
