Some more photos from a different camera than the last two batches.

I think these are better than the others, but they still really don't seem to be capturing her well.

I imagine I'll have to buy a better camera.

Seems to be normal, yes. She's been doing it since I got her; or doing it a lot since I got her anyway. She isn't always like that.
And yes, very recently.

Vasa's seem to hold their wings different at times. I looked at some other pictures of vasas and you will see similar wing positioning in those birds even without wings clipped. These birds for their size seem to have a tremendous wing span and that is saying a lot with having a Scarlet! But they do hold their wings close to their body also.

This is Vinyets temporary cage. Vinyet though is Jess's companion so it out a lot. Actually Vinyet likes going in her cage to take naps. Jess is planning for a larger cage though.

Wing clip. The every so present debate. Yes, wings are clipped. Vinyet is a very strong flier and had flown at some windows. Jess was afraid of injury so her wings were clipped. Vinyet though is learning the house and her wings will grow out. Jess is also getting a harness to harness train her. And finally Jess will be teaching Vinyet stationing at different places in the house. Not sure how that will go as she loves riding on shoulders and keeping Jess or her dad company.

Nope. I plan to make her an aviary cage soon.
It is a bit on the small side for her (though it's larger than it looks here; Crate watch | Page 2 | Avian Avenue Parrot Forum) but it will do for now and she isn't in it very often.

She is a shoulder fiend.
I'm trying to get her more used to hands and arms because she feels more stable there to me. It's going slowly but surely.

Jess will even take her bird out in a cage to get some sun but I know she wants vinyet to get harnessed trained so they can go out together.
