I am interested in the PYs because of noise sensitivity and am wondering if there really is a difference among the GCs the Pearlys, Black-capped, Maroon-belllied etc? I want to add a conure to my family so any thoughts or experiences would be very appreciated. Ann

For the most part it's really hard to say definitely that there are appreciable differences between the species, because even within the species there is so much variation.

I am noise sensative too. I have three Green Cheeks. They really are not all that loud. They may holler for me when I am in another part of the house, but the are fairly quiet most of the time. Maybe I should wear my hearing aids.

I would say to go with the species you are most interested in and learn to read body language to avoid bites as well as learning how to work with your new baby using positive reinforcement training techniques. :)
