Did I just expose my CAG to Giardia?

the puppy that I just got supposedly had been vet cleared for everything. I took her Saturday just to make sure. Found out today the puppy has Giardia. Saturday, I did something I know I should not, I gave each a small taste of vanilla ice cream/1/4 the size of a dime, twice. From the same spoon. The puppy starts treatment immediately. I have contacted someone to clean the yard this weekend/I get TONS of leaves and they are not even half down. I don’t think I can find what is out there until the leaves are gone. I am freaking out as giving Louise meds will be extremely tough, I can’t even towel her properly and there hasn’t been a reason to.
Whew. Questions: what do I watch out for in her? What can I do to protect her from any additional exposure? They will never eat from the same utinsel again!!! Is there a high probability she will get it from the exposure?

I think you're safe. You usually get it from feces or water contaminated with feces that has it in it. Talk to your vet when you take the new puppy in for treatment.
