I'm still not sure if I want to get a used cage or buy one brand new for Kei. I want to have one just in case but may be able to bird proof the room so he can be out most of the time still. I think I've decided on a cage but all of my cages have been white or black. I want something new. I'm between diamond blue and sandstone. I've seen sandstone in person and really like it but I've never seen diamond blue. Does anyone have one? Do you have pics?
I'm thinking about this cage-
Victorian Style Bird Cage Large - Bird.com
Or this one- (would get the champagne color)
Macaw Corner Bird Cage 14022 - FREE Shipping. Low Prices.

Darn, should have made this a poll.
Well, please post your opionions and why you would choose that color.
I'm leaning more toward Sandstone because it is lighter but really like the diamond blue as well. I would really like to see one in use.

I have never seen the blue ones but really like the sandstone. No reason just a color preference. I love the 1st cage it is very similar to the one I have

I'm thinking that the blue is not a very popular color as I have never seen it at pet stores, bird fairs, etc. It's a pretty color but I'm not sure if I'd like it for a cage.
Thanks for adding the poll Cynthia! :)

I've never seen that blue in person either, it wold be nice if you could click on the color and the cage pic changes to it(like some online sites do for clothes that come in different colors)

about the only blue I've seen in person is from the Avian Adventure cages - they call it Royal blue We call it purple :D it looks like a deep dark purple

sandstone isn't a bad color, that champagne color didn't look too bad either

I prefer green cages(especially with LIVE plants near them! Looks very tropical), but due to my cockatoos dustyness I plan on switching all my bird's future cages to either white, off white, light grey, or sandstone. I would go with the lighter colors because my 'toos dust wont show up on it as well. And often times the lighter colored cages fits well into the house's decor.

I have seen blue, and personally do not like it. I have seen black cages, and have an outdoor plack cage (32x23) and personally do not like the darkness of this cage. Dark cages tend to darken the room.

So to answer your original question before I end up rambling on, I prefer sandstone :)

I prefer the lighter (as most of my cages are either white or light grey) I noticed with the dark cages it really darkens a room. Its much nicer to have light cages espically if you lack natural light.

Living in apartmeents where I cannot paint the walls, adding color to my livingroom was also a consideration when I ordered my HQ Flight Cage last year. I really wanted blue but couldn't get it, so I got the forest green instead. BEST DECISION EVER!!! I am so much happier with a colored cage than something neutral. Plus I find the birds show up so much better in the colored cage. As for the poop showing up, I don't care about that since I clean them often and it's a fact when you have animals that they poop!

My next cage will be blue if possible :) or red... i'd love red....

I prefer the light cages because they don't look so constricting. To me darker colors give the illusion of the cage being more confining than it actually is.

Between the blue and the sandstone, I'd go with the latter.
