Interesting toy parts! I had the yellow string thingy attached to one of my bird’s toys. He used to love to tear it apart, then I had to replace the toy. I’ll follow this!

Is the loofa stuff the same as what they use for shower brush stuff? Always wondered as I’ve never seen any for sale...

Yes, in some cases.
The shower brushes are traditionally made out of sponge (a marine animal, Sponge - Wikipedia ) whreas loofah is a tropical vine (a plant, Luffa - Wikipedia), but it is used as a shower sponge also.

Thanks @Ulis_Beast Will have to see if they say on it which one it is as assuming the marine animal one would not be safe. Hopefully they do but will now keep an eye out for one, in case I should actually find one. Even cheques pet stores and can’t find it. I know they are online but always leery of buying online, though have not tried our vendors yet...

Wow! Toy making is a lot of fun! About the loofah. What type of texture is it? Is it soft, and good for a budgie to chew?

My budgies love picking at loofah! It's not soft, but it's good for budgies to forage or pick at.

I got it from a bird rescue. It's a Superbird creations toy.
