Back when I was searching for a second budgie I found an adorable clutch of four! This is the same clutch I got Winston from. Winston was the only boy but I was contemplating getting his sister because of her unique (and adorable) face!

The right side of her face has a purple patch with spots while the left has a white patch with no spots!! So adorable! I wish she was a he! I got the male instead because I was thinking he'd get along better with Oliver and I didn't want the possibility of eggs and egg binding and all that stuff.

She's very sweet!

My Charlie had purple patches on her cheeks, and they actually have changed to white as she got older. I wonder if that budgies purple patch will become white too.

@Ali has a budgie named Birch with spots like that, it seems to be most common on pied birds after looking at lots of photos.

Wow! That’s unlike any mutation I’ve ever seen before, she’s so unique!

Is that real?! I've seen it before and thought it was photoshop!
It’s real! Very rare, it happens when two fertile yolks create one egg. The budgie that comes out has two different sets of dna.

Cool. Like the opposite of human twins. Does this mean that genetically it would be possible for a human to be born one half male or half female?
