Cuteness overload !!! I wish Alsing would cuddle like that ! haha. The closest I can get is when she naps on my chest.. I sneak in a chin cuddle .. until she realizes it isnt my hands and my face instead !

Shezbug how are you not afraid of her ever biting you by accident? My tiel nips me if I don't touch her chin when she wants me to .. Which is fine since a tiel nipping doesn't hurt.. but a macaw?!

Lol @Tara81 I’m a thrill seeker? I don’t really have an answer for that to be honest. I guess I’m just not scared of him- respectful of that beak power and his smarts but not afraid of him.

He once got me pretty good but it really wasn’t his fault as he was affected by some fumes that kinda freaked him out and made him not himself. It happened when I was trying to get him out of the room and into fresh air and he clamped down not really being aware of what was happening to him. I feel awful about that because he was essentially breathing toxins and was very disoriented, once he got fresh air and came to his senses and realised he had his beak in my finger he let go and snuggled in. He was actually much more gentle with me in general after that incident which really surprises me.

He hangs from my fingers when we play and I often pick him up from lower places (like when he’s being a floor macaw) by offering my finger for him to hang off.


He is usually fairly gentle with me.

I am sorry, I did not notice this yesterday. Burt was 2 on November 22nd last year. Now he is just 2 big for his birdie toes!! hehehe

It´s a good book. There is a film too.
