I second that! I love seeing Burt, he´s so lovely and happy, it´s nice to see you both together, and hear your ¨silly voice¨ I think I also talk in a higher pitch to my birds

Yes their beaks can do some decent damage if they wish to.
I am always amazed when I watch him crack nut shells at just how strong and also gentle that huge beak can be.
I hope he stays as gentle and well mannered as he usually is now once he finds some hormones lol.

Okay! I have seen some videos in which people let them fly outside. They flew like a kilometer away. Do they always come automatically back to their owner?

No they don’t always come back unfortunately but when training for free flight the aim is to keep the bird as safe as possible and also have it come back, there should be an awful lot of training for both the human and the bird. It is still a big chance to take even with the right training and conditions.
I don’t let Burt go outside unless he is in his carrier or on a harness.

You will find most now use GPS trackers too. It can help locate a bird that´s flown too far or got lost, but it won´t protect them fro predators, so that will need to be taken into consideration when choosing a freeflight area.
I´m sure your tutor will explain all of that and help you find a safe space if that´s the route you want to go.

This video has been up for ages. Lol.

He opened his Christmas presents about an hour ago and is now happily feasting on his Christmas morning breakfast! I got lots of snuggles this morning as he was a little overwhelmed with everything hehehe
