Hey! Today I went to check on my lovies eggs and found a crack! I saw the heart beating so I want to try and save it! So how do I “fix” the crack I heard using tape or washi tape is a good way but I’m not sure please help I don’t want the baby do die easpescally since my lovie is being such a good mom and spends all her time sitting on them

She is bumping your post up with the bump reply in hopes more people that know the answers see it it and respond. I hope the baby inside is still doing well.

@BrianB might know.

I have read some articles on egg repairs but it is not something I have done myself.

I haven’t had to do it myself but a friend of mine said the best thing he found was to use paper mache for the repair. It’s sturdy and non-toxic and still lets the egg breathe. A little flour and water to make a slurry and the smallest piece of paper you need to cover the crack will work.
