Pictures Coopers Hawks

There is a pair of Coopers Hawks nesting in my yard, and they are cussing me out for doing yard work at the moment

In the fall when the farmer across the road picks his corn or beans we sit outside and watch the hawks follow him. He scares the mice and the hawks dive in and grab them. Easy meal for them.

I'd be out of their hair sooner if they'd just at least do the edging, lol!

Isn't that cool? The kestrels follow the farm equipment around on my parents' farm!

I kept listening to this video--and the birds continuing to call to one another in my yard--and I believe these are actually Red Shouldered Hawks! I'm excited! We normally get Cooper's nesting around here.

The male came down and settled on a neighbor's fence post to check me out. I started singing to him in between his fussing, and he started to settle down. It was amazing! I'll try to get more pictures. I already hear them calling this morning
