Was sitting on the back deck this morning when all the birds disappeared from the feeders. Found this above me in the pine tree. Believe it to be a Cooper's Hawk, probably young.

Same, my hens nearly got attacked a few days ago by two red tailed hawks... luckily I was there and got them back into the coop immediately.

This one isn't big enough to take a chicken. Dove is the upper end of their food preference. That and little birds at birds feeders
