How do you prepare butternut squash & sweet potatoes for your feathered friends? Cooked, raw, mashed, diced...

Sweet potatoes should always be cooked. After they are cooked you can either chop, mash or serve whole/large chaunks.

I don´t know about squash, it´s not something I´ve ever fed them (size).

I feed pumpkin (butternut squash) both raw and cooked. Birds often love being given access to the fresh seeds in the guts of the fruit.
If I cook it I will either dry roast big chunks or simply microwave or steam it- I never add any oil even for roasting/baking.

Sweet potato I always only serve cooked and the way Burt prefers it prepared is when it’s cooked in its skin in the oven- no oil.
