Conure suddenly eating a lot

Sunflower is a 6mo gcc. She likes to forage and garbage eat, but she usually spends her time playing, preening, napping, and bothering my husband. Today, she has eaten a lot. She has been eating from her bowl for a couple hours now, and she has eaten an usually large amount today. Should we be worried? We have had her for 3 months.

Are you sure that she is eating it all? Some birds just enjoy grinding pellets to dust.

Buddy is a very healthy eater. It seems he eats as much as Milton does on some days. His weight remains at 135g...

Do birds have growth spurts? I would say she's just a growing girl At that age I assume they are still growing but maybe I'm wrong and someone can correct me!

She is in the middle of a molt. It was just that one day. Today she is back to her normal eating.
