It sounds normal. Mine chatter in a soft whispery way before bedtime. They squawk in the mornings and evenings, but at night when they get sleepy they make softer sounds.

Sometimes, my gcc Gus will crawl under my jacket when I’m working at my computer. He’ll cuddle up and “snore” for lack of a better word. It sounds like little chitters. Warms my heart big time. Welcome to AA, btw. Loads of great folks and resources for our bird buddies.
My gcc and budgies will chirp slightly when the light is on in the same room in which they sleep, after being covered. They stop that and start beak grinding when I switch off the lights
