Not that many UK members here Tony. I'm in West Yorkshire so I can't help much.
Could you post a few photos? Some of our membership should be able to give some advice. Other than that your vet should be able to either clip the nails for you or point you in the direction of someone who can.

If you have a look on the Northernparrots website there is a link to a list of avian vets throughout the UK you may find one there thats not to far from you Tony.
