Our 3 month old GCC, Sunflower, was startled by a loud sneeze and flew across the room into a sliding glass door. There was a loud thunk and then she u-turned and landed on the ground on the other side of the couch. She ended up about as far from the glass door as she started. We immediately picked her up and snuggled her. We checked her over and she seems fine. No blood, no wing droop. She is acting normally, eating normally, perching normally. Is there anything we should do or look out for? We will be closing the blinds next time we visit that house.

Keep her dark and quiet, hydrated, watch for dialated pupils, labored breathing, head tilting, stumbling. Hope she's OK

Unfortunately most new babies have a couple bang ups as they're learning to fly. If she doesn't seem dazed, isn't closing her eyes or breathing heavy, my thought is she's okay. But definitely keep an eye on her.

She has had a couple of wet sneezes. She stuck her talon up her nose and scratched. She does like to dunk her head in water, though.

Keep a close eye on her for 3/4 days. If she starts becoming lethargic or dizzy or regurgitating, get her to a vet immediately. In the meantime keep her quiet as you can. Do you have any metacam on hand - it will reduce pain and swelling.

Make sure, too, that she is eating and drinking. I had a bird with a concussion and he exhibited lethargy & lack of appetite.

Poor little baby, I hope she continues to act healthy and shows no signs of trauma.
