Concussion!? *Update - Page 3*
Beanie got spooked and hit a door at full flight speed!
- It didn't knock him out.
- He can still perch.
- He is very quiet and docile.
- He will accept head scratches.
- He just wants to sit still.
- He regurgitated afterward (onto a perch - did this once only).
- He ate some honey (thought the sugar might help with shock).
- He preened my eyebrows afterward.
- Not playful at all.
- It is like he is a different bird; not vocal or energetic at all.
I've put him into his cage and turned off the light. He is perching in his usual sleep spot.
I've felt his keel bone and this is all fine. His beak is still intact. I can see no blood.
What more can I do?
I need some reassurance. I have read some information about bird concussions and now I'm worried that Beanie has internal bleeding (maybe on the brain).
