Cockatiel watery poops, vet not concerned :/

Hi! I wanted to post here because I find the community here is generally more educated/conscientious than the one on Reddit, and so I thought it may be a more useful place to go. Sorry for it being a bit of an essay!

My cockatiel is a little over two years old; we’re pretty confident she’s a girl and a very chill, quiet lutino. About a month ago, there was an incident where she got squished between a person and a fridge door because she flew into the gap just as they were standing up from a squat in front of it. She was acting really strangely, squinting her eyes and holding her wings up, we got her into the vet the day after (emergency vets suck, I was willing to travel within 3 - 5 hours but none of them take birds :( ) and she was giving pain meds and nothing seemed to be wrong. She got back to her normal self relatively quickly, except that her poops were super watery, and they have been ever since.

There is still a bit of the green fecal matter, but the dominant thing she’s releasing is clear fluid. She is drinking more water than usual, so I suspect that’s contributing? She was on the pain meds until a few days ago, and we brought her vet a poop sample a few days ago and they said they didn’t notice anything wrong. They said it could’ve been that the incident triggered something with her pituitary gland, and to make sure her cage mate isn’t being territorial of the food, which I haven’t seen (her cage mate is a male cockatiel (gender guess), they like the humans better than they like each other but they do seem to get some comfort from each other, and generally don’t fight or anything). It’s definitely possible that he’s an issue, but I think it would be uncomfortable for them to be separated as well.

I’m still rebuilding funds because her and my hamster had to go to the vet at the same time, and so once I can afford to, I’m going to push for bloodwork I think. But for now, I just want to see if there’s anything else I can do?

Some things that might be useful to know are that I switched them from Volkmann seed to Higgins Sunburst (parakeet, not the cockatiel one with the sunflower seeds) a few weeks after the incident. I do 2 tbsp of Roudybush mini pellets and 2tsp of the seeds in the morning, and 1tbsp pellets and 1tsp seeds at night. I’m not currently doing chop as much as I want to, because I just moved so life is complicated. For the past few days, I’ve been supplementing the water with ACV, hard to tell if that’s really doing anything yet. Also, she’s never laid any eggs, never shown any indication with that at all, and there’s nowhere nesty in their cage so I don’t think it’s that?

Is there anything you could recommend? I’ve read that senior Nutriberries would maybe be good if it’s something with her kidneys. I’d really appreciate it, thanks ❤

Poor Baby! I don't really have any good advice to give. Her water intake could mean so many things. The stress of the accident, and the lingering affects of the meds. Good luck, hoping someone else has some ideas that will help.
