This is my baby cockatiel Roti! She is around 3 months old now. I bought her from a local breeder (I would have loved to adopt but was unable to find any cockatiels in need of a home near me). Her wings are currently clipped but I will let them grow out :)

This is our new baby Lenny, he won't be coming home until he's weaned. We can't wait!
Did breeder DNA test? I'd assume Lenny is a girl unless DNA testing was done! :)

My baby, who’s only about a year old (please don’t criticize the wing clipping, I don’t have a choice, I live with my father who wants him clipped, I’m hoping to do short distance recall training in the near future and have him fully flighted when I move out) CF571BFF-EF71-4713-BD86-639267C594A8.jpeg 858B5070-7008-49AF-8FE5-8139F89EBAE9.jpeg

Beautiful Cockatiel!
By the way, is that your dog in the background? I'd personally not keep them in the safe room, due to predator instincts....

I just realized that I’ve never posted in this thread!

This is Nibbler, he’ll be 3 years old (can’t believe he’s almost 3 already!) on February 5and he was my very first baby cockatiel and my very best friend. He is technically a pearl pied but because he’s a boy he lost almost all of his pearls.

Some of his hobbies include: spying on neighbours from his window perch, singing and whistling, running around on the floor and generally being a tiny, fluffy dictator. He is a crazy, grumpy and snuggly boy and he has brought me so much love and joy into my life. His favourite colour is green, favourite person is my boyfriend (little traitor) and he is obsessed with grape stems (washes of course) and trying to eat my MacBook. He also has a great game where he ‘pokes’ at my ear while on my shoulder and makes a squeak. This is a past time we have mixed enjoyment levels on.

Next up is our newest flock member Hermes! He is a standard grey male and his hatch date is May 13th.

He loves cuddling and playing with all and any toy he can get his little beaksy onto. He has started developing his own little screm song and since I am his favourite person, he pays homage to me by singing directly into my ear so that I get the best acoustic experience and can better fell his undying love. I am now mostly deaf, it’s great.

@Coelle cute names! You might need some more birds to complete the characters! ;) :roflmao:

Nibbler is just a standard pearl, split pied. He doesn't have any visual pied markings from what I can see. He should, however, have mottling on his tail feathers that Hermes will never have as an adult.

Interesting! The only pied marking that I noticed on Nibbler were white patches (bigger than his pearls) on the back of his neck but I’m actually not sure if that counts? I find it so amazing how they change as they grow and molt out their baby feathers!

And yes, need more birds to complete the cast!
