Hi so my hen laid eggs about 4 weeks ago, they arnt viable but there was a chance they could have been, I've been waiting for her to abandon them however instead I've notices she's just started laying again, now obv my male is in the box and won't let me near it but what I'm worried about is the eggs that's already in there that won't hatch, I think I may be too late to remove now as the was the male is he's proteive again and I think she may have already laid one, my question is do I just leave them? If they start rotting will it kill any new eggs? I didn't want her to lay again but it seems she has already started, I was trying to wait untill they lost interest but it's gone the oppisit way.

Update it seems I'm too late, while I made the very silly mistake of thinking she was still brooding over the eggs it turns out she's started laying to replace them
