Help! My tiel is currently vomiting and i do not know what to do. I went to the local vet and he gave me some vitamin c and another type of medicine that is used on humans called metroclopramid. I am sure that he is intoxicated with some kind of metal he chewed. Is that medicine enough??? Please help

Was you vet an AV? Was there an xray or explanation of what the meds are for? I do not know about the meds so I will tag some others who will hopefully be able to give you some help or advice.

Metaclopramide (Reglan) soothes their intestines and helps with regurgitation. Vitamain C is used in building the immune system, but not commonly used in birds.

Why do you think he has chewed on metal and what kind of metal was it? Blood tests need to be done to determine if your bird has heavy metal toxicity.

Was the vet you took him to an avian vet?

Did the vet do any testing at all: blood work, culture, x-rays, etc?
Why do you suspect heavy metal poisoning?
Reglan (metoclopramide) does not treat heavy metal toxicity. It's an anti-emetic used to treat nausea/vomiting.

Yeah. I don't have anything to add without the answers to those questions.
