My cockatiel Bernie recently got frightened and flew around the house before ultimately hitting the cabinets hard. My mom said she would be okay as long as she doesn't hit anything again, because she is alert and doesn't show signs of concussion. I would jusut like to have a second opinion on this matter because sadly I am a worry wart for she is a senior bird. The top of her face his red and around her nostril is a bit red too but no bleeding.

The best thing to do is to monitor closely. If you see any signs of lethargy, decreased appetite, balance issues and/or decreased responsiveness then contact a vet. She might just have a minor external injury, the redness you see. Just keep a very close eye on her. Hope all will be well.

She’s so precious! It’s good she’s acting okay. Just make sure she keeps acting normal, but it sounds like your mom is right and she should be okay.

Thank you, I will be sure to do that, she seems to be acting normally.

That's only middle aged, not senior. If she's fine today, then she'll be fine.
