I've never heard of dosing some food! I have two tiels on ridzol right now, will ask vet if it's ok.
I was unsure initially too but decided to give it a try on the rescue tiels since I don't like grabbing them. Their bacterial and yeast infections cleared up just fine. I then tried it later on one of the green cheeks and it worked as well. Just make sure that they are hungry enough to eat most of the nutriberry or whatever they'll eat it on.

OMG Im so SORRY I didnt post earlier! Sick bird + Sick me+ sick 2 kids! BLECH!
Tika is waaaaaay better. She has had another episode of choking a bit on meds but I knew what to do and knew she would be ok. the shower REALLY HELPED> just sat in the steam of it for about 20 minutes. Then she went into a humidified warm room. I have gone S U P E R slow on dispersing the meds now...it takes us maybe 10 minutes twice a day to do a teeeensy bit.
My new vet is super dee duper and I will be adding her to the vet list here. I am in Christiansburg Va and she is the only avian vet from here to roanoke. I cant say I like giving my teil meds but I can say I am much more at ease about it. What a freakout that first choke was. You guys are great!
