Hi everyone! I hope you can help,
We’ve had a cockatiel for roughly 5 years with no problems, roughly 2 years ago we bought 2 conures again no problems.
however this last year the cockatiel has laid multiple clutches of eggs obviously all infertile. We don’t know what to do with her, is it healthy? Is it because of the conures?
please help! Thankyou

Does she seem to like the conures? If she isn't bonded to one, it might be other stuff in the environment (light, nesting materials) that has her interested in laying.

It's not ideal to have her laying multiple clutches since it can deplete her calcium. Lower calcium also raises chances of egg binding, which is deadly.

I'll let others chime in, but you can start with the basics of trying to curb hormonal behavior: more darkness, less soft/warm foods (if you feed them), nothing that looks like a nest (no happy huts, no boxes, or paper bags), make sure not to pet anywhere other than the head.

There are other drastic measures, but no need to worry about those yet if you haven't had a chance to try the other things.
