Good morning everyone,
I've had my cockatiel, Burt, for around 6 years now and she's never really been a quiet bird, but she mostly only chirps when she wants something. Well for the past week, she has been chirping a lot more as if she wants something I'm not offering. I have tried all the usual things she usually chirps for:o:ffering scritches, food, and toys, but she still acts like there's something else she wants. I am home all the time now and I didn't use to be, so I'm not sure if that could be contributing.
Any thoughts on what she may want?

Is she able to sit with you? Could that be it?

Maybe hormones? Looking for a mate?

She is sitting on me pretty much constantly. I was wondering if it could be hormones because if I pet her back, she leans forward into a mating position. Maybe I've just been gone to long during the day working to have seen how noisy she usually gets when she's hormonal :laughing2:
