Chico isn't usually that comfortable out of this cage, but a couple of days ago he was happy to stay out for about an hour! I tried to get him to stay on the mat, but he wanted to climb the branches. His friends kept a polite distance from him, but they all seemed happy to be in the vicinity of each other...

And here he is saying "Hello!"

She has carpet parrots, a really bad case of them I must say. She may have to treat for them if it keeps up

Glad I'm not the only one with a carpet infestation!!!

Chico came out again today whilst I prepared breakfast. Everybirdie left him alone. Kept running back and forth from the kitchen to make sure he was ok. He managed to climb down onto the padded mat by himself! On each visit I offered a perch to see if he would like to go back to his big cage, but he was perfectly happy until his breakfast was ready.

It's so difficult to get him to come out. I can only do it if he sits on his door perch - I have to unscrew it and carry him that way. Hopefully he will want to come out more and more as he gets used to it.

It's absolutely GREAT to see Chico out & about! I'm glad he's doing it a bit more often. Being Handi-Abled & going for those adventures by themselves, (I think) helps their brains work & makes for a happier fid. Just to be clear... When I say alone, I mean supervised @ a distance by their own decision & mobility.

Be thankful your carpet is not black! Those infestations are so noticeable on black carpet. So is white dog hair. Why would anyone install black carpet??? Question for my landlord.

I always thought carpet should be a variegated dirt brown. Then it shows very little.
