Must be a cockatoo thing!

Miss Coco gets chicken bones several times a week. She loves them!

Grandma makes them the best, because she makes a curry out of them, and the bones are soft. Very tasty!

She eats the marrow......

The African grey I had loved chicken wings and legs. When she was finished there was only a small bit of bone left. She especially loved barbeque chicken. It keeps them occupied and out of trouble for a little while. John do you give them a napkin?

No. They usually wipe it on my shirt/hair/beard on the way to the shower. :D

Cool, Never gave Penny a bone but she loves a small bite of chicken even meat or fish. I'd be worried about splintery bones though.
As opposed to a splintery piece of wood?

Bones should be thoroughly cooked.

Anything they can ingest can be a problem...even thin thread...I don't think Penny eats these things she chews though but its worrisome...I worry..Penny is not a big wood chewer...She likes paper & cardboard...

Burt loves chicken bones but he doesn’t eat the marrow that I’ve seen. He really loves the little grizzly bit and the bit of meat I leave on them for him though.
He will get a chicken bone today as we had roast chicken for tea last night (late tea so he missed out last night), I might pay more attention today to see if he does actually consume any of the marrow..... it’s hard to tell with all the chewed up broken bits he drops exactly how much of what he is actually eating.

So cute! That has to be great for their beaks too, right?

Reminds me of @ncGreyBirdLady's thread about Gemini.

I wish Milton would be as interested in bones...he'll just throw them on the floor. He does like ground chicken and turkey, though....we make sure it's baked rather than fried...better for him and us.
