Hello me again

My cockatiel has an 11 day old chick and I'm worried about its development and would like your opinion....

I gave attached a picture to this post of the chick, like I said it's 11 days old and is still not using his feet beside to wriggle round in circles. As you can see in the picture it has a lump on its feet (it's the same both sides) 20210806_203054.jpg and it feet are very pale. Is this normal? Is it just becuase it's legs already still developing? And should I be concerned?

Thankyou in advance ☺

I would take the little one to the vet as soon as you possibly can.

Hi, there’s a problem going on, not anyone’s fault but hopefully can be corrected!
I am wondering, does the nest have plenty of shavings to help the baby get traction?
Let us know what you find out.

Hello,

So there has been quite abit throughout but my cockatiels had been pushing it to the sides. So the chick hasn't had much to grip on. I have now put more in So it's not being pushed to the sides.

Do you think the extra grip will help the chick's legs correct themselves? Or would i need to maybe think about other treatments for spaddle leg?

Thankyou

I just want to add as well that I have called my local vet and they have booked an appointment for Monday as they are not open tomorrow and have no available appointments today but will call if they have a cancellation.

I am not a vet, but I don´t think so. There is a large sweeling there on the leg. You need a professional to take a look and treat them.
