Chia goo...

I wanted to be creative in my sprouted seeds and just threw every seed I found in the soaking pot... Chia and flax were in the lot, so now instead of wet seeds I have some sort of slimy water repellent gruel filling every little hole of my sprouting set so the water stays on top too so I can't even rinse them...
Obviously I won't get sprouts from that batch, I was thinking of cooking them to oatmeal, or maybe birdy bread. Except that my birds don't eat that.
Any idea what I could do this it?

I've made this mistake before!! So annoyed with myself lol.

Like you said, oatmeal and birdy bread are easiest. You could also use it as a "butter" on some bread or crackers.

as butter... is that good? It is quite wet, wouldn't it turn the bread/cracker soggy?
Maybe I should bake a birdy bread for the wild birds, they are so picky ;) Any other seed I should beware of? I mean, they all have that same innocent seed look when you start, right?

As far I'm aware, the following are mucilaginous:

Chia
Flax
Arugula
Mustard
Basil
Cress

Yes it will soak into the bread a little.. I don't eat it but my green cheek and Quaker at the time devoured it!

They can't sprout in the traditional way. Remember chia pets, how you spread them on the terracotta? That way works. Otherwise a plate, a wet paper towel, and mist them seems to work.
