I got Chewy,he's a rose-breasted cockatoo,about 2.5 yrs ago now from a bird store. That is still open, thought that it was closed. He was deathly ill, that's why I want the store to be closed. I don't care much for bird stores, will go in there if I HAVE to get food or toys.
We have moved quite a bit together, from an adult family home to assissted living to my own apartment then back with mom and dad. We are living in the downstairs basement apartment. So far I love it. IT's much better then the Adult family homes and assissted living facilities, and better then living at a place where it was scarey. I was terrified of the landlord. And Chewy felt it.
Chewy's doing much better then he was at any of the three places. I really love my birds very much.
