I don't know but it's looking female - I see some blue to the cere. Compare it with the younger (clearly male) chick.

So you think the younger baby is a male?
I do yes. Young budgie males have pink ceres, whereas females have powdery blue (baby blue?).

So when I first saw Pip back in August I thought his cere looked like he was a boy, but now that Pip has been home for a few weeks it's changed a bit and I'm beginning to wonder if he is actually a girl... what do you all think, girl or boy?

Ok, I've been going through these posts to try to figure out my Bluebirds' sex because we want to make sure not to get another female if she's female to maximize likelihood that they'll get along. Would you all agree that this one is female? She started her first moult a week or 2 ago
