Your budgie is a female, but isn’t a baby. :awww: Looks to have some very interesting mutations too. Any front pics?!

Hard to tell from lighting in this picture but Star has some light blue feathers on her belly
Thanks for your reply and help

Some of them go back & forth with hormones.

I wonder about the white stuff & mites though. @Ripshod @AussieBird @Lady Jane I hope I’m just being paranoid, but from the front I wonder about a male with scaly mites.

For colours, there’s definitely at least 1 dark factor. What colour are the longest tail feathers, Star24?

We'll spotted.
@Star24 your budgie needs to see a vet - suspect scaly face mites. Don't be tempted to buy an off-the-shelf treatment - at the least they don't do anything, and at worst they can kill.

Yes it looks true black to me I have no clue what mutation she is. But she is a lovely happy little bird.
I’m just concerned about scaly mites now but can’t get her in anywhere untill tomorrow.

If his body colour is that & his tail is a true black, he has 1 dark factor & has the grey factor. :)

Thing to remember, it's different in INO birds. Also young birds are... Difficult. So now, I need two males.
< clip >
That's how it begun with me.
I had three girls and one was a df spangle yellow with no blue color.
Then I bought a sure male from an individual, but was still lacking two males.
Bought from the pet shop a cobalt and an albino in order to get even pairs.
The albino was a hen:
her cere turned at first infected red (or a human would have been) and then crusty red-brown.
I had four girls: Winter Frost, Spring Grass, Summer Sun, Snow White, and two boys: Autumn Rain and Cobalt Bluesky.
I took care of two non-breeding non-flying English budgies (Teddy Bear & Jemmy English) and paid for the flying male Hybrid, Griffin the Grey, who constantly lovebites me while eating millet.
But I think I was still missing two male Australian budgerigars
I bought Willy Wonka and Texas Pete.
but
also Aquaman & Aqualady plus two youngsters Cinnamon & Little-Toby.

Thus I ended up with fifteen (15) Melopsittacus Undulatus in three Savic cages in an aviary room of 11,11 m².

Since Little Toby does not fly and therefore does not attract the ladies I feel I need one more male... Blue Dragonfly.
