This ceramic heater looks pretty safe for use in my bird room but would anyone mind confirming that? I appreciate the help I'm so paranoid I'm going to purchase something that will hurt my bird. I don't see any signs of Teflon in this

At a glance it looks fine! I would however email the company to confirm it does not have PTFE or PFOA

I don’t trust space heaters. Killed my friends bird a few days ago

What brand please?

I have used a few different space heaters over the years with no issue so sharing brand and type of heater is helpful if it was definitely a death caused by a particular household item.

it’s this one. What happened is the bird lived in the garage for two months and she thought it was cold so her husband had the heater on from 2am to 9am. The heater was a few feet away from the cage and covered with blankets. When she uncovered cackatoo it was dead bottom of cage. The heater had overheated. She had it on low. It’s such a sad situation. I feel so bad for that sweet bird. Only maybe 29 years old

Do you mean the heater was under the blanket too?

Sounds like the problem was not the heater, but the positioning of the heater.
But I could be wrong.
The heater overheated. That’s what she said when she felt it and the birds beak was open. I can’t get over that this happened I love this bird visiting it
