Celebirdy for the month of August 2026

1. How did you acquire your bird?
Nibbles was at a Bird Show, and my son fell in love with her because of her being a cuddler.
2. What is your bird's name, species, age and sex?
Nibbles is is a Senegal female who turned 16 back in March.
3. Does your bird do any special tricks?
Not really
4. What are some of your bird's favorite foods?
Red hot chili peppers and any kinda of nut. She doesn't get a lot of either, just as treats.
She likes her dried veggies better than her fruits.
5. What is the funniest thing your bird has done?
While trying to get the cats put up she kept telling my Norwegian forrest cat to step up.
6. How has your bird enriched your life?
From the very beginning she is just sweet! She loves belly and foot rubs
7. What would you tell people who are considering this species?
She is extremly smart and very obediant with commands. She was really easy to train.
8. What is the activity and noise level of your bird?
Nibbles is very active playing and chewing when in her cage. I call her my "lean mean chewing machine".
On a daily basis she is not very loud. She does make a BHC alarm call from time to time, that she learned from a BHC that we used to have.
9. What are some of your bird's quirks?
She really doesn't have any weird quirks.
10. If your bird talks, what is the most surprising word or sentence it has said?
Nibbles does talk, but for the most part it is in context with what is going on. Like when I leave the house she will say "bye,bye love you". She is bossy and does tell the other birds to step up. Especially Baby my 17 yr old tiel.
11. What is your bird’s favorite treat?
Any kinda of nut.
