Hi all! I brought home a cockatiel a few days ago and my cat, Atlas, has not stopped hiding. He didn’t do this with my budgie and I’m at a loss for how to help him. Any advice is appreciated!

Best to just keep them separated. This will help with feelings for both your bird and your cat.
My dog doesn't really like when my birds flap, I just put him out when I have the birds out, he usually goes to sleep next to my bed or on the back patio, I'm sure he prefers that.

Can you give your cat a safe place that the bird can't be? This is good for your bird's safety too but will also give your cat some confidence to come out again. The screeches might scare him
