Here are some pics of the caracal in my profile pic, in case any of you have been interested The two cubs were rescued on a farm after being caught in the forest fire. They were only a few days old, and the people who found them did not know whether or not the mother had survived. They were taken to a family member of mine who fosters all sorts of animals. One unfortunately did not make it, but the other one is almost fully grown now, and in the process of being reintroduced on the farm where they were found
Here they are at just a few weeks old, soon after they were rescued
Here is the big girl, a few months later
With her "brother" Travis He was rescued just a little while before her, found at just a few days old being used as a soccer ball by some children
She is truly an amazing creature, and by just watching the way she moves you are constantly reminded that she is 100% a predator! She is always alert, flicking her ears to every noise and twitching her tail as she walks. Caracals are rarely seen as they are elusive creatures, so getting to know this gorgeous girl really was a once in a lifetime experience!
I hope you all enjoyed
