Sarah, I well know that sometimes you have to darned near kill them to cure them. Been there done that. Just wanted to make sure that you are aware of the possibilities, so you can watch for the effects and stop the meds if you see anything strange going on.

Oh, man. I had a Red Tailed Hawk with frounce once. And dang, don't I know it.

Yes steroid, they can prescribe the same ingredients without the steroid. You should still mention that in case she is not aware. However, I know my avian vet is very adamant that she never prescribe meds with steroids for birds.
