I received some corn on the cob. It's not super fresh but I would like Bebe to try it. He eat corn occasionally but not a super fan of it. I have no skewers in the house either so how do I present this to him?
He can have it raw or cooked. If you want you can cut it off the cob, cut the cob in thin wheels and shove through bars or just tie it and hang it.
I don’t think there’s an awful lot in corn on the cob so I don’t feed it very often- definitely not as often as Burt would like, the other 2 birds aren’t interested in it but Birdie has eaten a few kernels.
All of mine love corn on the cob. They like it raw or cooked.
I do the 'cut in wheels' thing. Big wheels for bigger beaks, smaller for the smaller beak.
Same as Shez, it's a treat, not a whole lot of nutrition vs other veggies.
I also offer the raw wheels to Ripley! I usually just put it in a bowl; you could zip tie the whole/half ear to the cage bars if you wanted to keep it interesting
Mojo and kiKi both get mini corn on the cob in there Not Chop most days and they love it, they both also enjoy a good piece of regular corn on the cob in there cage on a skewer it occupies them for a while.
Well after looking thru several ears of this batch. There no way I would feed this to Bebe. Supposedly this was fresh sweet corn, nope the kernels are mushy, some have mold, there also mold in the leaves wrapping around the ear. NOPE it going garbage asap. Thank you everybody for your hints
