This is Taco's favourite thing to say, and despite multitudinous efforts I still have NO idea what he's saying.
So I thought maybe someone here might have more luck. :D

Hahaha, I thought it was a duck noise then the last one really sounds like a bye bye. After listening to it a few times I think it is either night night or bye bye.
Whatever it is he is saying is said in such a cute voice. I just love bird voices :)

Sounds like "say bye" to me.

I have a word coming from Maui right now that has the whole house racking our brains as to what he is saying. Sounds like "repeat" or something??? He says it 100 times a day and we have no clue.
Usually I can pinpoint the words and phrases by what he is saying with it. He will be blurting out strings of words that Kailua and Sakie say when this word hits so, I assume it something from Kailua. She has an extensive vocabulary but is also quite the closet talker. Kailua was passed around for years and has multiple personalities. If this word comes from her... I have not heard it yet. LOL

“Bye, bye!”

Rio is saying one right now that has me stumped. It sounds like “washing ush” or washer ush. I can’t imagine what it is but she looks right at me and says it and waits for me to....do something.

Of course it took me a year to figure out Ernie wasn’t saying Cricket he was saying “scritches”!

In person it sounds just like "eh-hwai" or "ef-wai", LOL. He's aaaaalways saying it and I just go "Efwai" back at him. He doesn't seem to notice a difference. :D

Maybe it's bye-bye! He says it in greeting, though, so maybe he needs a refresher course in English. :p

Maybe it's one of his old owner's names? I can't remember either of them...

Could be any of those.
I know that Sam will sometimes say "HELLO" when I'm leaving - so who knows.

Taco does that too, but it's usually in a desperate bid to make me stay in the bird room, lol. I can't leave if he says hello!

Especially since just saying "hello" is a game in itself in this house. Gotta knock five times first, and say it in increasing degrees of overdramatic flair.

You can correct the words into whatever you want.

Sam used to say "gimme kiss" in an extreme mutter, in fact I'm not exactly positive that's what the phrase was. Every time he said it we would repeat "gimme kiss" in the same tone and use of syllables. After a few weeks it was very clear and undeniable.

For me he says: ____ back. So perhaps, be back?
And I put on my headphones to hear that.

Wow - this is amazing to me that (I think I counted NINE people) who think he's saying bye bye, and to me it sounds nothing at all like bye bye! To me, it sounds just like he's saying "What?" "What?" Repeatedly!

I did hear that on my headphones too. But all we can do is guess, he could be saying nonsense too. :D
